A Kid for two Farthings (1955) was one of Alexander Korda's last film productions and, directed by Carol Reed, had a screenplay adapted by Wolf Mankowitz from his own novel. It was the 9th most popular movie at the British box office in 1955 and was also nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1955 Cannes Film Festival.
